Carnaxide Library

Located in the heart of the Carnaxide Civic Center, the Carnaxide Municipal Library has been operating since 2004 in a space designed to serve the community and welcome people of all ages.

The library is organized over two complementary floors. On the ground floor, you will find the children’s area, specially designed to foster a love of reading from an early age, offering a colorful and welcoming environment, reading corners, a newspapers and magazines section, a coffee machine, as well as the service desk. On the upper floor, the library offers a reading room with comfortable seating, a section dedicated to comics, and a multimedia room equipped with computers, a scanner, and reprography services.

The library is part of the Oeiras Municipal Library Network, ensuring free Wi-Fi access and developing a regular program that includes reading promotion sessions, meetings with authors, and training activities.

During exam periods, opening hours are extended until midnight, providing a quiet and safe space for studying.

Located next to the Ruy de Carvalho Auditorium and other cultural facilities, it is a central hub for social interaction, learning, and cultural participation in Carnaxide.
